Binter will start operating direct flights from the Canary Islands to Vitoria, in the Basque Country, on April 1st, after the route was awarded by the company for the promotion of Vitoria airport, VIA.

The new flights will connect the Basque capital with the Canary Islands twice a week, connecting one day with Gran Canaria and the other day with Tenerife, with routes lasting approximately three hours.

In this regard, Binter’s plans also include the upcoming launch, starting in March, of two new connections between the Canary Islands and Santander with flights from Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Binter will start connecting Vigo with the Canary Islands from July 1st, resuming the connections with the Canary Islands that had to be suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. This first route will have two weekly frequencies every Wednesday and Sunday with the island of Gran Canaria.

The new conditions brought about by the improvement of the sanitary context have made it possible to adopt this decision by being able to guarantee safety thanks to the implementation of prevention protocols and sanitary measures throughout all the phases of the flight process.

In the reactivation of domestic routes, Binter also improves and relaxes the conditions of its fares to benefit passengers. The airline will allow a first change of date or destination free of charge before the flight, even in the case of tickets purchased with promotional fares. Ticket prices have also been reduced and are equalized for all domestic routes.

Vigo will be connected to the Canary Islands every Wednesday and Sunday, with a flight departing at 8:30 a.m. from Gran Canaria to land at 12:00 p.m. at the Galician airport. The return to the Archipelago will be at 12:40 hours, arriving in Gran Canaria at 14:20 hours.
