ORDER OF THE 9TH OF APRIL BY WHICH THE CONCESSION OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GROUP TRAINING STAYS IN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN 6TH GRADE OF PRIMARY EDUCATION AND FOR THE REALIZATION OF ENGLISH, FRENCH OR GERMAN LANGUAGE COURSES ABROAD FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN 4TH YEAR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, BACCALAUREATE OR FORMATIVE CYCLES DURING THE SUMMER IS SUMMONED.

First: The Government of the Canary Islands has implemented the Plan of quality measures aimed at achieving the objectives set by the European Union in the field of education. Said plan includes a firm commitment to the improvement in the learning of a second language.

240 scholarships are announced, by means of the procedure of competitive concurrence, for the realization of courses in English, French or German language abroad, in the period between July 1 and September 30.

b) To have studied and passed all the subjects corresponding to the educational level immediately prior to the current one, having obtained an average grade of seven or more in the subjects of the foreign language chosen to take the course abroad (English, French or German), and a final grade equal to or higher than seven (or “B”).

The tutors of your children, as well as all the teachers of the center, will be at your disposal from 9:00 to 13:00 hours. You can contact them as you have been doing during the whole school year, by writing to the e-mail address provided by each teacher since the beginning of the school year. We ask you not to write answering to this e-mail since it will not reach the teacher in question.

Once the grades have been published, you have until June 29th to make a claim to them, in the secretary’s office of the center, from 9:00 to 12:00, in case of disagreement with any grade.

Students who must recover a subject in September will receive an email with instructions for the reinforcement/recovery plan, which can be downloaded from the platform used by the teacher of the subject in question (EVAGD/ CLASSROOM) and which must be handed in on the day of the extraordinary final evaluation tests (September 1 and 2). The organization and schedules of these tests will be published on the center’s website.
