Kia niro electrico canarias
From this spring, Kia Canarias consolidates its position as a generalist brand with the widest crossover range by adding the Plug-in Hybrid version of the Niro to its range of models. Compared to the conventional hybrid version, the electric motor improves its power figure by 40% (44.5 kW). Paired with its new 8.9 kWh lithium polymer battery to the electric motor and, in unison with the 1.6 GDI engine, the Niro Plug-in Hybrid achieves an output of 104 kW (141 hp) and 265 Nm of torque, so that its acceleration figure from 0 to 100 km/h improves by seven tenths of a second over the conventional model: 11.5 seconds.
All these advances also result in greater energy efficiency. This extra capacity and power translate into a range of 58 kilometers in 100% electric mode. In hybrid mode, average emissions levels (in NEDC combined cycle) drop drastically in this version, from 101 g/km CO2 to 29 g/km.
To make the most of this efficiency, Kia helps the driver with a series of systems such as regenerative braking. More innovative is the Eco Driving Assistant (Eco DAS), an assistant that provides the driver with information to drive more efficiently, always taking into account the prevailing conditions. In particular, it tells the driver how to take advantage of the inertia cruise control (CGC) and predictive energy control (PEC).
After launching such stimulating models as the Stinger or the third generation Ceed and having updated the Sportage, Kia is once again putting the spotlight on its ‘zero emissions’ range with the launch of the one hundred percent electric version of the Niro.
With a sophisticated electric propulsion system, great autonomy and the functionality and appeal of a crossover-style body, Kia Canarias takes another step towards the emission-free future towards which the automotive sector is aiming. The importer presented this version along with the other members of the Niro range at an event held recently at Finca Los Pinos de Firgas, in Gran Canaria, with the general manager of Kia Canarias, Jorge Gonzalez, as host of the event.
Like the other two versions, the hybrid and plug-in hybrid, the e-Niro guarantees maximum driving pleasure spiced with a zero emissions propulsion system with a range in WLTP combined cycle of 455 kilometers in versions with the high capacity battery of 64 kWh and 289 kilometers for those using the 39.2 kWh battery.

The Kia e-Niro is the electric version of the 2016 Niro. Very similar to the electric Kona in the technical section, it arrives on the market in early 2019 with two versions, a simple one with a 136 hp electric motor and battery with 39.2 kWh capacity, which gives it a range of about 289 km and a more powerful one, with a 204 hp propellant (395 Nm of torque) and 64 kWh battery, with which it would be possible to travel up to 455 km without refueling.
It announces remarkable performance (with the 204 hp version it is possible to reach 100 km/h from standstill in just 7.8 seconds. The driver can choose how much retention (and regenerative braking) with the paddles behind the steering wheel. There are also four driving modes that vary the car’s response, more or less responsive to the accelerator.
Compared to the 2017 Niro (available as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid) there are differences in appearance. The most notable is that it dispenses with the front grille (fairing in this version as the engine does not require as much cooling) but also change bumpers, moldings, LED lights or wheels. The aerodynamic coefficient is lower, 0.29 compared to 0.30 Cd.

In the Canary Islands, the e-Niro can be equipped with two types of lithium-ion battery: a high capacity with 64 kWh associated with the most powerful engine of 150 kW (204 hp) and up to 455 km of autonomy; and one of 39.2 kWh with an engine of 100 kW (136 hp) with 289 km of autonomy. On sale with a price starting at 32,925 euros.
