Government of the canary islands education

The Canary Islands Employment Service is an autonomous administrative body, attached to the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands with the responsibility of active labor insertion.    Its mission is to encourage, improve and promote employment and training in the Canary Islands for the unemployed and employed population.

Its work is focused on intermediation in the labor market, promotion of employment, information, orientation and training, constituting a labor observatory of analysis and prospection of the labor market with the purpose of defining and adequately programming the Active Employment Policies. It also carries out actions to support and promote the social economy.

The SCE is multichannel (face-to-face, telephone and telematic) in order to facilitate citizens’ access to the services offered by the SCE, in a more convenient, economical and faster way, reducing waiting lines and travel, improving the quality of the services provided.
